While all the results of our in-house research projects are being sold without any restrictions to every customer, nearly all contract research & synthesis projects are being done on an exclusive basis.

Exclusivity does not only mean to work for one assigned sponsor but it also comprises the transfer of all results, reports, compounds and any intellectual property to the customer. No information on any aspect of the project and no chemical substance is sold to a third party. All the work is carried out under the protection of a project tailored secrecy agreement.

The majority of our customers prefer to order on this exclusive basis. The advantages are obvious:

• All results can freely be used for the client’s research projects – including the implementation into own patents.
• Because of the strict information protection, no competitor gets insight into the actual research of our customers.
• The chemicals made in the course of our exclusive services are not found somewhere on the market afterwards. This ensures, the project sponsor is the only one having the compounds at hand.

All these advantages are not only valued by customers from various industry branches – as pharma, biotech, new materials or specialty chemicals – but also by (public) research institutes.

Confidentiality is the main prerequisite for exclusivity in this business. We at ChiroBlock take the consequences of this relation very seriously. Some of our answers to this issue are:

• Usually we sign a secrecy agreement - all members of our staff are strictly bound to it. The negligible staff turnover rate further minimises the risk of information spreading/spread.
• Encrypted communication via e-mail and internet (128bit).
• Secure data handling for electronically stored information, no physical connection between intra- and internet.
• Our estate is guarded 24 hours a day.

The outsourcing of exclusive chemical research & synthesis prevents bottlenecks in your research program, it gives you access to external know-how and facilities and it enables you to pursue your own, probably basicly non-chemical, projects.
