In addition to our main business field, „exclusive services“, also „non-exclusive“ products and services are available at ChiroBlock.

The business objectives are identical in both branches: to design new synthesis routes, to optimise reactions, to make sophisticated, mostly chiral research chemicals.

The only differences regard confidentiality issues and the number of customers to which/whom know-how / a service / a product is offered.

Most of our clients prefer to order on an exclusive basis. Others, however, choose the cheaper and sometimes sufficient non-exclusive option.

Here, customers not only can buy products made on order, but they can also take advantage of the results of our own in-house research projects on new unnatural and chiral derivatives of natural compounds. The latest examples are special beta amino acids, glycosyl donors and polyphenols.

As we are not a manufacturing company engaged in the ‚fine chemicals catalogue business’, larger amounts of these research chemicals are made and sold by partners of us. Compound samples and the synthesis know-how, however, are available direcly at/from ChiroBlock.

These in-house research projects do not only contribute to our turnover but they are also other important aspects implied for our company/ChiroBlock:

• in contrast to the confidential projects – these are the only results we can use for marketing
• in many cases we co-laborate with leading national and international research groups
• our scientists stay in touch with cutting-edge knowledge and external researchers
• own patents and scientific publications result from this research

All these points together very good complement our core business activities. Our customers from various industry branches – as pharma, biotech, new materials or specialty chemicals – but also from (public) research institutes benefit from these synergistic effects, regardless of whether they order on an exlusive or a non-exclusive basis.
