Natural Isomer of Isocitric Acid – Transfer News

New milestone in our “IP-Factory” business!

After five years of intense research on an efficient process towards the natural isomer of isocitric acid, the Leipzig Environmental Research Institute (UFZ) and ChiroBlock have closed a contract that clearly defines the roles of both parties in the marketing and production of this promising compound.
While the UFZ holds the IP of the bioprocess, ChiroBlock contributed the down-stream processing and will take full responsibility of marketing and regulatory issues.
As to share risks and chances in a balanced way, the UFZ grants an exclusive license to ChiroBlock, which, in turn is obliged to a licence fee that is strictly based on the economic success.
