ChiroBlock Receives 2026 State Seal as an Employee-Oriented Company

ChiroBlock GmbH has again been recognised with the Saxony-Anhalt state seal “Employee-Oriented Company – I Feel Good Here” in 2026. The award recognises companies that actively develop good working conditions, employee involvement and a sustainable workplace culture.

For ChiroBlock, the recognition has particular significance because our work in chemical custom synthesis depends on something that cannot be replaced by equipment or technology alone: experienced people who share knowledge, question established approaches and work together to solve complex chemical problems.

What is the “Employee-Oriented Company” state seal?

The state seal “Employee-Oriented Company – I Feel Good Here” recognises companies in Saxony-Anhalt that demonstrate a sustained commitment to good working conditions and employee-oriented corporate culture.

The programme is part of the Fachkraft im Fokus initiative in Saxony-Anhalt. According to the initiative, the assessment uses the Wertenetz© analysis tool to compare the values and expectations of employees and managers with the everyday reality experienced within the company.

The award therefore focuses not simply on individual employee benefits, but on how workplace culture, leadership, participation and working conditions are experienced and developed over time.

ChiroBlock recognised again in 2026

The official overview published by Fachkraft im Fokus lists ChiroBlock GmbH among the companies recognised with the state seal in 2026.

For us, this renewed recognition is not simply an employer award. It reflects a principle that has shaped ChiroBlock since its foundation in 1999: demanding chemistry requires continuity, experience, open scientific discussion and people who are willing to take responsibility for complex projects.

Our customers frequently approach us with synthesis challenges for which no established standard solution exists. These may involve:

  • novel or commercially unavailable target molecules,
  • challenging first-time syntheses,
  • route scouting and process optimisation,
  • special analytical or purity requirements,
  • scale-up from milligram to gram and kilogram quantities,
  • or repeated supply of highly specialised compounds.

Such projects depend not only on laboratory infrastructure, but also on accumulated scientific experience and effective collaboration between chemists, analytics, project management and quality functions.

Why workplace culture matters in chemical R&D

In research-intensive chemistry, a strong workplace culture directly supports knowledge retention, scientific problem-solving and project continuity.

Complex synthesis projects rarely follow a perfectly predictable path. Reactions may behave differently than expected, purification strategies may need to be redesigned, analytical results may raise new questions and scale-up can reveal challenges that were not visible at small scale.

Successful problem-solving therefore relies on people being able to:

  • share experience openly,
  • question assumptions,
  • discuss unsuccessful experiments constructively,
  • develop alternative approaches,
  • transfer knowledge between projects and generations of chemists,
  • and take responsibility for scientific decisions.

This is why employee orientation is more than an HR topic for ChiroBlock. It is part of the environment in which reliable scientific work can develop.

Experience creates continuity

Many custom synthesis projects evolve over several stages.

A project may begin with a few milligrams required for an initial feasibility study. Successful development can lead to gram-scale synthesis, process optimisation, larger batches and eventually recurring supply.

Continuity within the project team becomes increasingly valuable during this process. Chemists who know the history of a molecule understand previous route decisions, critical reaction parameters, purification challenges and analytical expectations.

This accumulated knowledge can reduce unnecessary repetition and support more efficient development as a project progresses.

Employee orientation and scientific excellence belong together

Modern laboratories, analytical equipment and digital tools provide important capabilities. But they do not independently create innovative synthesis strategies.

Scientific innovation still depends on people who combine:

  • chemical knowledge,
  • practical laboratory experience,
  • curiosity,
  • critical thinking,
  • communication,
  • and collaborative problem-solving.

For a specialist custom synthesis company, maintaining an environment in which these qualities can develop is therefore also an investment in scientific quality.

Our perspective: Excellent chemistry begins with people who are given the opportunity to contribute their knowledge, experience and ideas.

A recognition for the whole ChiroBlock team

The 2026 state seal is ultimately a recognition of the people who shape ChiroBlock every day.

Every successful synthesis route, analytical solution, process improvement and scale-up project is the result of individual expertise combined with teamwork.

We therefore see the renewed award not as an endpoint, but as encouragement to continue developing ChiroBlock as both a scientific partner and a workplace.

Our aim remains to create an environment in which experienced specialists and young scientists can develop professionally, exchange knowledge and work together on challenging chemistry.
