New project in our IP-Factory business field
What if…
you could change the color of your house or your car every morning –
to match your mood, your outfit, or even your calendar?
Sounds playful? It is.
Sounds like science fiction? Not anymore.
We’re happy to announce a new R&D project within our IP-Factory business, starting February 1st, focused on the development of switchable foils for dynamically colored surfaces – with applications ranging from architecture to display technologies.
The collaborative project brings together strong partners:
- Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research (IAP), Potsdam
- Haverkamp GmbH
- Halion Display Inc. (Canada)
- ChiroBlock
The 24-month project is supported by a public grant from the ZIM program and aims to advance the next generation of electrochromic nanomaterials.
At ChiroBlock, we contribute what we do best:
many years of experience in developing industrially feasible synthesis routes for new, complex functional compounds – turning smart ideas into scalable chemistry.
From mood-adaptive façades to color-changing surfaces on demand, this project is another step toward materials that are not just functional, but responsive.
Because sometimes innovation starts with a simple question:
What if?
