Last week the 22^nd annual meeting of the 4Synth cluster took place in Berlin (Adlershof).
30 participants from more than 20 chemical companies discussed new developments, challenges and outlook of the chemical process industry in Germany. A big “Thank you” to the hosts ASCA, C1 Green Chemicals AG and Genosynth for the great hospitality.

It was impressive to visit their labs and facilities and to learn how they manage to stay at the forefront of innovation in the fields of developing new synthetic processes to methanol and to numerous hard to make reference compounds.
Day two was reserved for discussing best practice examples of energy management, automation and AI. Furthermore we welcomed our guests, three scientists of the CTC (Centre for the Transformation of Chemistry) to introduce their new institution and possible field of collaboration with the 4Synth cluster.
As (with) every year – time went by faster than expected but still, there remained enough opportunities for bilateral networking – one of the main features and advantages of our meetings.
We are looking forward to many mutual projects and the next meeting in 2025 in Freiberg.
